Argentinean artist, born in Cordoba (Argentina) in 1979. Prato obtained her degree in Fine Arts at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, city where she now lives.
In her work, Cecilia proposes a dual approach between sensitivity and reason, the intuition that sensitizes the subject and the reason that organizes, determines, safeguards, which tries to hide this without achieving it. On the contrary, it establishes a visual dialogue that portrays the true meaning of her work.
The iconic is anecdotal, the same is given by a flower, Valkyries or the slender silhouette of a woman. She is interested in repetition itself, infinite, "almost obsessive" of the overlapping modules. This unique relationship is what determines the uniqueness of her work. Hence, the true meaning of her proposal is the repetition of the iconic module, where everything is covered: everything is touched, everything is intervened, everything is affected.
